The world would be controlled by Private Titans who all want to drive prices up just so they can increase their revenue. What a sad picture that would be.

So, Where Does it All Go?

You were promised something brief and quick and that's exactly what you are going to get. The Income Tax you pay all goes to help fund the expenses of the country. Those expenses include the following: Salaries of government employees, Public Institutions and Organizations, National Defense, Public Health Care, Infrastructure, Public Welfare, Foreign Aid and so on.

So, do you get the picture? Your taxes basically fund the actions of the government. Every citizen gains something from it directly and indirectly. If you think that you have never benefited from the dollars you pay, think again.
