Pilates is the best workout

Designed to challenge your strength, flexibility and coordination, Pilates aims to put your body in perfect balance. During WWI, Joseph Pilates served as a military camp, working with patients bed manually. Many of these patients were unable to move, but that did nothing to prevent Pilates "determination to help them gain strength and mobility. Experimenting with his patients and his own, Pilates devised a series of exercises carrying controlled both mind and body. "Watching carefully patients, Pilates has seen them become more active and alert. The men involved in Pilates' exercise regime recovered more effectively than did not.

At one point, Pilates bedsprings removed from under beds and attached to these walls in bed or above level. These springs used to excercise. The contraption later inspired the reformer, a popular Pilates exercise machine using springs, straps, and a box to perform a variety of exercises.

Those who performed exercises Pilates developed a strong immune system and managed to escape from a deadly plague that killed many at that time. Not one of the students Pilates died from avian epidemic at the moment which he claimed was due to the effect of his work. Not the Pilates "followers succumbed even though the camps, where many were were the hardest hit.

Involved in a Pilates program will change the way you think about your body, exercise, and ultimately your overall well-being.
