Need to lose weight for health
Need to lose weight for health?
Does your doctor say you need to lose weight for your health or do you think you should anyway? Would just a few pounds make all the difference? It is all very well for the doctor to say it but how do you do it? You have tried diet after diet and nothing seems to keep on working. Oh yes, they all work for a while but then the weight just piles back on again. Why is that?
I know exactly how you feel. I had the need to lose weight for health reasons so I have been there, done that. Every diet works for a while and some are easier than others. Most of the "good" ones though are both expensive (for the meetings, buying their special foods etc) and quite slow. The slow reduction in weight makes you feel like giving up.
How could you lose weight healthily and quickly? You do not want to get bulimic or anorexic. How can you diet and eat your favourite foods at the same time?
Have Your Past Diets Been Famines?
Nature is a wonderful thing. It provides for us when times are hard and because of this the body has the ability to store fat for when a famine comes along and then it can use that fat to survive. If the body is deprived of regular food it thinks that there could be a time soon when there is no food coming in. Yes, that is true! How many times have you tried not eating and you still did not lose weight, well apart from the water that disappears and then as soon as you stop dieting, the water gets retained again and on goes that weight again. The answer is to confuse the body so that it has no idea whether to convert the current food supply into fat just in case of a famine or not. Hopefully not.
Is it really possible to lose a significant amount of weight in just 11 days?
You can lose quite a bit of weight over the next 11 days and to do it you would be required to eat more than 3 times per day. Yes, more than 3 times. Four to be precise. Four meals per day. You can even have the odd glass of wine if you want. This way the body does not get to the stage of getting hungry and starting to store food just in case. There is a program that lets you choose which foods you are going to eat for the next 11 days and says that you can lose 9 lbs in that 11 days. That is probably enough for you to feel a lot lighter and healthier. You are then required to have a rest off the diet for 3 days during which time you can eat whatever you like (perhaps apart from chocolate). You can then do another 11 day cycle to lose a bit more.
